We have had an unbelievably productive tangelo tree. We've made tangelo sorbet, I've got tangelocello in the closet steeping, and I have eaten at least one tangelo a day for the last four months. Vitamin C.. check.
So here's a little tribute to Cinco de Mayo.
1/2 to 2 oz tequila blanco
1/2 oz Citronge, Cointreau, or triple sec
1/2 oz Grand Marnier
the juice of 2 limes
the juice of one tangelo
sea salt or kosher salt
Chill a martini glass in the freezer
Fill a shaker or a large glass with ice
Add ingredients and stir or shake
coat rim of glass with lime juice and dip in salt
Add the shaken ingredients
