Tangzhong Whole Wheat & Rye Bread

This tangzhong whole wheat and rye bread is soft, fluffy, and slightly sweet. It's perfect for toast, sandwiches, or on its own with a schmear of butter.

To achieve the soft and fluffy texture, you add a roux of flour and water that you have cooked to 149 degrees F (64 degrees C) and then cooled, to the dough. This is called a tangzhong.

Mango Cream with Berries

This mango cream with berries is an amazing dessert that is deceptively easy to put together with fresh mangos, limes, two kinds of milk, and finished with a generous amount of fresh berries.

This post is sponsored in conjunction with #SpringSweetsWeek. I received product samples from sponsor companies to help in the creation of the #SpringSweetsWeek recipes.

Banana Bread with Swirls of Nutella

This banana bread with delicious swirls of Nutella throughout the middle and on top is my new all time favorite version of this iconic quick bread.

Banana Bread with Swirls of Nutella slices.

This is the banana bread recipe I will use every time! The crumb is moist and evenly baked throughout and the chocolatey hazelnut Nutella pairs so well with the ripe bananas.

Cream of Spinach Soup

This cream of spinach soup will remind of you of a favorite steakhouse side dish, creamed spinach.

Pan de Cristal | Glass Bread

Pan de cristal is an amazing bread made with 100 percent hydration dough. It has roots in Catalonia, Spain, where it was developed about fifteen years ago.

This bread comes with a shatteringly crisp and delicate crust (like glass) and a super airy crumb. In fact, when you slice it, the crumbs from the crust scatter all over your cutting board.

This version of colcannon is loaded with kale, but still totally tastes like mashed potatoes. It's a great way to get a serving of leafy greens in your favorite comfort food.

This Little Green Dress Sauce, with its combination of flavorful salty and herby ingredients, is sort of like a chimichurri sauce, and includes lots of parsley and fresh mint, yet it is a bit more briny because it includes olives and capers.

Gin and Celery Tonic

This Gin and Celery Tonic is as about refreshing as cocktail can be. The green color is so appealing and it makes you feel like consuming a cocktail is almost healthy.

Gin and celery tonic cocktail with bottle of gin.

This celery tonic lends itself perfectly to the herbal notes of gin. I'd suggest a botanical gin such as Hendrick's or St. George's, but any herbal or London dry gin will do. If you like gin, this cocktail will make you very happy. And if you think you don't care for gin, maybe you should give it another chance!

Corned beef hash has always been one of those meals I've only ordered in restaurants when we've gone out for breakfast. At this point, I'm not sure why, because this corned beef hash, with Yukon Gold potatoes and chiles is totally "the bomb."
