This Spring Fling is a lovely and refreshing gin cocktail.
I'm a huge fan of The Kitchen on Food Network, and it's a part of my Sunday morning routine. First, CBS Sunday Morning (brain food, and one of the best secrets on television), and then The Kitchen.

Sea Scallops with a Jalapeño and Grapefruit Marinade
These Sea Scallops with a Jalapeño and Grapefruit Marinade are so sweet, tender, and succulent.
These scallops were fresh, meaty, and dry, meaning they weren't soaked in phosphates to help them stay moist. Both kinds of scallops are perfectly fine, but the dry scallops are much easier to brown and develop a crust.

Apple Brown Derby Cocktail
This Apple Brown Derby Cocktail is an apple-y twist (or should I say slice?) on the cocktail from the famous restaurant from mid 20th century Hollywood.
Have you ever heard of Applejack? It's an American spirit, produced by Laird's, which is a blend of distilled cider and neutral spirits, not to be confused with a My Little Pony character. I impulsively picked up a bottle, and have used it as a substitute for both brandy and whisky in a few cocktails with delicious success.
