The batter for these baked donuts is so easy to put together. Once you've mixed it, you just pipe it into a donut pan and bake the donuts. They take just about 12 minutes to bake!
This recipe makes just 6 donuts too, so you won't have too much opportunity to have too many. I guarantee that these will be a big hit with your taste testers. My grandsons went crazy over them.
Ingredients you will need for these baked donuts:
All you need are flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder and baking soda, salt, plain yogurt or sour cream, an egg, vanilla, and melted butter.
For the double chocolate part, you add either chopped chocolate or mini chocolate chips to the batter, which will melt into the donuts, making them extra chocolatey.
For the glaze, just mix together powdered sugar with a little heavy cream. And, of course, add sprinkles!
If the batter rises up enough to close the donut "hole," you can cut it out with a knife. I actually just inserted an apple corer into the center.
You can find the recipe for these delicious double chocolate baked donuts at the very, very end of this post. You will also find more recipes from the #BakingBloggers for baked donuts.
