This Caramel Apple Ice Cream is loaded with the flavors of apple pie.
Welcome to #AppleWeek! This post is sponsored in conjunction with #AppleWeek. I received complimentary product from sponsor companies to aid in the creation of the #AppleWeek recipes. All opinions are mine alone.
This no-churn caramel apple ice cream begins with chopped apples cooked in butter and brown sugar until the butter, brown sugar, and apple juices turn to delicious caramel sauce.
This caramel apple ice cream is loaded with the caramelized apples. I'm pretty sure you could have it for your fruit course, right?
What is no churn ice cream?
You don't need an ice cream freezer to make no churn ice cream. Instead, you whip cream to form stiff peaks, and then you fold in the rest of the ingredients, including a can of sweetened condensed milk.
Next, you pour the mixture into a container and place it in your freezer. The air in the ice cream comes from the whipped cream. I have several delicious no churn ice cream recipes on this site, including:
- Peanut Butter Ice Cream
- Heath Bar Ice Cream
- Mexican Hot Chocolate Ice Cream
- Birthday Cake Ice Cream (this one is made in the blender!)
I topped This ice cream with caramel sauce from Torani, one of our Apple Week prize sponsors. It is from their new PureMade line of products, which have no artificial colors or flavors.
For the apples in this ice cream, I used Envy apples, which have become my new favorite apple after trying them during last year's Apple Week.
I also added a little twist to the caramel by steeping a bag of hot cider tea from Republic of Tea. The cider spices in the tea added a nice subtle flavor to the caramel.
Zyliss sent us a cool apple corer and knife, which I used to chop the apples.
And Camilla, the event host, also lined up some amazing prize packages from our sponsors. Keep reading to see what you can win and enter the rafflecopter below.

Caramel Apple Ice Cream

Yield: 10 servings
This no-churn caramel apple ice cream begins with chopped apples cooked in butter and brown sugar until the butter, brown sugar, and apple juices turn to delicious caramel sauce.
ingredients:
- 2 medium or 1 1/2 large apples, chopped (I used Envy apples)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 bag apple cider tea (optional)
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 - 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
- Torani PureMade Caramel sauce for topping
instructions:
How to cook Caramel Apple Ice Cream
- Cook the apples, butter, sugars, cinnamon, and vanilla over medium low heat for 6 to 7 minutes, until the apples are tender and the sugars and juices have turned into a caramel sauce.
- Remove the mixture from the heat and add one Republic of Tea apple cider tea bag and let steep for one minute. Remove the tea bag.
- Whip the heavy cream to almost stiff peaks.
- In another bowl, stir all of the apple mixture (do not strain) together with the sweetened condensed milk.
- Fold the apple mixture into the whipped cream with a rubber spatula and pour the mixture into a container to freeze. Press plastic wrap against the surface of the ice cream.
- Place the container in the freezer for at least 6 hours.
- Serve topped with caramel sauce (optional)
