Werewolf Sliders

These werewolf sliders are a fun to make Halloween treat. You can make them to serve at a party or prepare the ingredients for your guests to get creative and make their own.

Three Werewolf Sliders on black plates.

I had fun making these a few years ago with my grandkids but never posted them! Now that Halloween is approaching, it's the perfect time to share.

All you need are some slider buns, a few ingredients, and your imagination.

Note: If you are serving these to small children, be sure to carefully remove the toothpicks that are used to attach the olives and pickles.

Ingredients You Will Need:

Slider Buns: I used brioched buns from St. Pierre. Kings Hawaiian also makes slider buns. Typically, you can also find them in the hamburger bun section of your grocery store.

Meat: I used pastrami, but you could also use ground beef for burgers, sloppy Joes, meatloaf, or even chili.

Ketchup: To drizzle down the side of the bread, to look like blood. You could also use your favorite barbecue sauce.

Cheese: I used white American cheese but any cheese will work.

Pickles: For the ears. Either sweet or dill pickles will work.

Olives: I used black olives for the nose and pimento filled green olives for the eyes.

Werewolf Sliders Ingredients.

To Make These Werewolves:

First, drizzle a little ketchup down the size of the bottom half of each slider roll. Place a few slices of the pastrami on the bottom half of the roll.

Next, using a sharp knife, cut a tooth pattern into a slice of cheese and place it on the pastrami slices. Top with the top half of the bun.

After that, using toothpicks, attach a half of a black olive to the upper bun for the nose and attach two piminto filled green olives for the eyes.

Finally, slice a small pickle spear in half and attach them to represent ears.

Feel free to use your own creativity to make these sliders.
